Balcan Innovations Announces the Launch of Their New 50-Foot Extrusion Line in Wisconsin

The 5-layer wide web line will enable Balcan Innovations to produce sheeting up to 50 feet wide, delivering among the largest film formats available in the industrial packaging industry. The Bandera equipment introduces advanced capabilities that also strengthen the company’s ability to incorporate flame-retardant and UV stabilizers seamlessly, as well as post-consumer recycled (PCR) resins, with tight process controls. “Our boat wrap and shrink tarps have long been recognized in the Building & Construction and Boating industries for their consistent quality and performance," stated Derek Lennox, Balcan Innovations’ Chief Commercial Officer. “This investment allows us to build on that success, further solidifying what’s already widely regarded as an industry-leading solution.”  

The new extrusion line represents another milestone in Balcan Innovations’ long-term capital expenditure plan, joining an existing fleet of W&H and Bandera equipment in their recently completed building expansion. This addition enhances production for a comprehensive range of XXL shrink films primarily used to wrap boats, scaffolding, modular homes, and other major construction containment projects.  “The boost in capacity, size parameters, and technical capabilities will help us better support the growing demand for large format shrink wrapping,” continued Lennox. “This truly positions Balcan as a single-source manufacturing partner capable of supporting our customers across all film sizes.”
