Quality Control Technician

8-hour evening shift (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.)

The person who will occupy this position will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, analyzing these tests and issuing analysis reports.

• Perform laboratory testing.
• Log data and write report.
• Help investigation for complaints and non-confirming products.
• Help maintain equipment calibration.
• Carry out daily testing on lab equipment according to procedures.
• The main laboratory equipment are: tensile tester, COF, FTIR, Dart, gauge profiler, color, Tear tester.
• Follow priorities, complete tests on time, data entry of results.
• Report non-conformities.
• Submit testing reports on time for certificate of analysis and for sample/trial orders.
• Write up summary reports using excel and/or word.
• Maintain lab equipment up to date with calibration requirements.

• Excellent knowledge and experience of testing equipment and test procedures.
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Good interpersonal skills to be able to interact with production and technical team.
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Fluent with spoken and written English and French.
• Experience with Plastic testing (asset).
