Position

Reporting to the Director, Product & Market Development, the Strategic Account Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day key account support by contributing to quality customer service and to sales target achievement. The Account Coordinator contributes to the business improvement process through collaborative communication within the team and key stakeholders to further enhance the customer experience in a positive manner and draw attention to areas of opportunity for growth, sales and efficiency.

Responsibilities

International Business & Logistics:

  • Process export documentation: commercial invoice, certificate of origin, numbering list, quality certification, data sheet, etc.
  • Organize and gather together supporting export documents to customers abroad.
  • Request International freight quotes from freight forwarders and select the more convenient option for both parties.
  • Act as a liaison between a 3PL in Mexico and coordinate product release between our Company, the 3PL and the client.

Inventory Management:

  • Track and analyze inventory levels to avoid shortage/surplus.
  • Revise safety stocks to optimize inventory levels according to current demands.

Material Planning:

  • Analyze sales trends and customer demands to make sure there are always enough supplies and/or bags in production and inventory.
  • Processing order confirmations for production replenishment.
  • Working with the purchasing department to coordinate the replenishment of supplies.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide regular status reports and summaries as required (open orders, late deliveries, cancellations).
  • Create customized daily, weekly and monthly contract reports for customers such as: deliveries, invoices, freight charges, orders shipped, inventory levels, sales trends, etc.
  • Analyze customers’ demand and sales trends and create forecasting reports to optimize inventory levels. Interact with sales to understand demand forecast drivers.

Customer Support:

  • Respond in a timely and efficient manner to all incoming inquiries and correspondence, both internal and external, relative to Strategic Accounts.
  • Offer customer support to clients in South and Central America.
  • Enter, process and coordinate all Strategic Account orders received via E-Mail.
  • Problem-solving and regular follow-up and tracking on product and deliveries.
  • Plan and track shipments according to customer requirements including shipments to North, Central and South America.
  • Provide assistance and follow-up on a daily basis to Director, Product & Market Development, and ensure coordination with Customer Service, Production Planning, Production and Distribution in any matters relative to Strategic Accounts.
Requirements
  • College or university diploma/degree in business, logistics, international commerce, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales/account coordination and support or logistics.
  • Exceptional communication skills are required. Candidate must be fluent in English (verbal and written) and must possess a good knowledge of Spanish (spoken and written) because of our clients.
  • To be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • To be a creative problem solver with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data entry and reporting skills.
  • Collaborative team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent knowledge of Excel is required.
  • Experience working with SAP BusinessOne or other ERP software. (An Asset)
